World College Poker partners with PokerStars for Championship Main Event

PokerStars will sponsor and host the free-to-play 2021 World College Poker Championship Main Event. Opened for students aged 18 and over with a valid student ID across the globe, the WCP, which was created to cultivate an online community of student players who have a passion for poker, will be available globally for the first time this year.

The World College Poker Championship Main Event will feature four rounds with players divided into six global regions upon registration who will compete online at PokerStars.net from July 24th. Round Four will see the top six finishers compete live or online at the Final Table for the 2021 World College Poker Main Event Champion’s title. In addition, a host of prizes will also be up for grabs, including a PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) package worth around €8,000, a custom gaming chair for the six finalists, and an engraved PokerStars trophy for the winner.

Players from Italy, Portugal, Spain, New Jersey (USA), Michigan (USA) and Pennsylvania (USA) cannot participate in the WCP events in accordance with local regulations.
